Been getting a few questions about the rods I’ve been using so I thought I’d share my experience.

The Apex series is the latest generation from Duffrods. These rods are extremely sensitive and lightweight. With the carbon fibre handles you really get that ultimate feel and balance. I have used these on both Barramundi, Murray cod and they definitely handled the bigger size fish with ease.

On my deck you will find:

Apex 6kg which I find great for casting spinnerbaits and smaller hardbody lures

Apex 8kg which I use for mid to larger hardbody, mid size plastic and larger spinnerbaits

Apex 10kg I find great for the larger hardbody’s, larger plastics, mid size swim baits and large surface lures.

Apex swimbait rod there is a couple different weight rods. I have the heavier one which I’m throwing a 135g - 230mm long swimbait and doing it with ease.
